    We put fewer hunters around our fields which takes pressure off the birds. We don't like to feel crowded when we hunt and we don't think our clients do either.

The Bader Ranch consists of over 330 acres and is managed year-round for dove hunting. With irrigated sunflower fields and strategically placed ponds, the ranch is a mecca for dove every year. We are located in the heart of South Texas dove country just outside of the Hondo city limits. The ranch lies directly in the center of the migration flight corridor for white-winged and mourning dove. It is known for its consistently exceptional dove hunting. Hondo has long been dubbed "The Dove Capital of Texas" and the Bader Ranch lives up to the name.

We are conveniently located right outside of San Antonio Texas. San Antonio residents can reach Hondo in 30 minutes for a dove hunt. Those dove hunters who are further away can reach us via the San Antonio Texas airport. The Bader Ranch and the ultimate dove hunting experience can be found just 40 minutes from the San Antonio Texas airport.

South Texas Dove Hunting Safety

South Texas Dove Hunting is a safe and fun activity for all ages if the proper dove hunting precautions are observed. The most recent statistics indicate enjoying tennis, shooting a round of golf or jogging outside is more dangerous than using a firearm or Dove Hunting in South Texas. Injuries can happen due to lax safety precautions when dove hunting.

When hunters feel comfortable and safe while dove hunting they can become a little too relaxed and not observant enough of the dove hunt that is going on around them. Many hunters consider big game hunting a more dangerous sport than south Texas Dove Hunting but when multiple dove hunters around you are trying to get a shot off the situation can become more dangerous.
