Important Information to know for the 2019 Dove Season

Attention all hunters! Dove Season is only two Fridays away. Yes, fully aware that also means two more Mondays, but hey you win some you lose some.

Important Information to know for the 2019 Dove Season:

  • Regular Season for North Zone is Sept. 1 – Nov. 12, 2019 / Dec. 20, 2019 – Jan. 5, 2020
  • Regular Season for Central Zone is Sept. 1 – Nov. 3, 2019 / Dec. 20, 2019 – Jan. 14, 2020
  • Regular Season for South Zone is Sept. 14 – Nov. 3, 2019 / Dec. 20, 2019 – Jan. 23, 2020
  • Special White Winged Dove Days for South Zone is September 1st 2nd 7th and 8th

Bader Ranch has locations in both the Central Zone and the South Zone.

While we are (lowkey) scrambling to get everything ready by August 31st (HUNT HONDO DAY), we want to make sure you have everything you need when you arrive at Check in! Let’s call this our Bader Ranch Dove Hunting Essentials Check List-

(Bonus points if you print this out and bring it to us at check in)

  1. Hunting License– Outdoor Annual Texas Hunting and Fishing Regulations states “ALL migratory game bird hunters must have a valid hunting license.” You can purchase your license online on Texas Parks and Wildlife.
  2. Shotgun and shells
  3. Bird bag
  4. Plastic bags for cleaned birds
  5. Ear and eye protections
  6. Hat– or forget the hat and buy one from us! Bader Ranch merch is comin’ atcha hot this year.
  7. Chair
  8. Sunscreen
  9. Snake boots to be safe and ~stylish~ but not required
  10. Water [lots of cerveza] – Can anyone say Dilly Dilly? Are your mountains cold?
  11. Your own Bader Ranch Embroidered GameGuard- sold at Check in.
  12. Don’t forget your Bader Ranch Koozie!!

At Check in, expect to pay the remaining balance on your dove hunt and sign the Liability Waiver. Also expect lots of smiling faces because we are SO STOKED to have you guys come hunt with us and to put a face to all the voices we have heard over the phone for the past couple of months. All the hard work leading up to opening weekend will have paid off and it’s basically beer:30 for the next 2 months.. right?
